muscle car stipes on rams
« on: August 12, 2006 - 02:51:13 PM »
so, i thought i had seen most of them, the super bee logo, the hockey stick stripe and even the AAR stripe, but yesterday, i saw a billboard on a new ram! :villagers: AAAAAAAAAA!! I hate it! what makes all these people (including DCX) think they can just go and put all of the classic muscle car stripes on a ram just cause it has a friggin hemi? They are not a performance vehicle, and they cannot performe the way the cars can. Deal with the fact that you have a truck and it should look like a truck, not a muslce car.

:iagree:  I`ve never really gotten the custom truck thing either.A truck to me is a work vehicle not a sports or muscle car.Daytona decals and wings, hood scoops,20`s etc.,to each his own I guess.   :dunno:

I think that they might perform better than you think.  SWB Ram w/hemi @6flat to 60 nevermind srt-10  sub 5sec to 60 corners well also.  If they sell they must be doing something right!  Just my  :2cents:

My girlfriend bought a Daytona Ram and absolutely loves the truck. The interior accents are great and she loves her wing. The truck performs well too. I don't know what the quarter mile or 0-60 times are, but I have driven the truck and it hauls butt.

I think they look stupid.

It doesnt matter how fast the trucks are, they just dont have the lines to make the stripes work.

I have a hemi ram and wouldn't dream of putting on a stylized classic stripe on it....but that's just me.

Don't mind the stripes at all if the are proportionate to the body lines. I bet a new ram could perform and handle better than a lot of our muscle cars.

Hmm. I have a ’75 B200 van in which I am in the process of replacing the tired 318-2bbl with the 383 HP from my Barracuda. Was thinking of calling it the Super Bee 200 and finding one of those bumble bee stickers. Too much?
