Anybody use the hood to rad seal

I got a new hood to rad support seal last year when I went on a buying spree for the Cuda but never did install it. They are a little ugly. Any opinions on whether this seal helps with cooling, etc.

They definately help with cooling, it closes that area off so more air has to go through the radiator.

Are they 'correct' on shaker hoods too?
