:swear: :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear:  At a show of all places, people should be more careful about how they open their doors!  Especially when parking so close to a high dollar car! Geez louise....  Sorry for the rant...pet peeve!

Congratulations on the win Cannibal!  It was well deserved!

Dang, I'm still upset about your door!   :villagers:

There is a pretty good dent in it too...so hopefully my company starts to make some money soon and I can get the door repainted this winter...but its not looking like that will happen.  Hopefully I can try to hide it a little with some touchup for now....  :dunno:

What's the story with the dings?  I assume it was another show car.

You woulda thought he woulda been more careful.   :(

It was at the end of the show when we were getting ready to leave.  I have a custom radio console that I built with a cd player in it that is easily removable for shows, and he wanted to see how I did it and went to take a look at it.  It was the guy's brother-in-law that actually did it.  I was on the passenger side putting away my stuff, and he got out of their dart, left his door open, then proceeded to open my drivers door into his door.  :stomp: I heard someone day, "DOOR!" then I heard a "BANG" and I couldn't bring myself to go over there.  I finally did, and my heart dropped.  I didn't say a whole lot at the time....I kind of looked at it going..Damn..now what?  I said that "Sh#t happens" and kind of left it at that.  I know the guy felt horrible, and he was telling himself what a dumba$$ he was...but he is a really quiet guy and I couldn't really bring myself to do anything.  I am going to see what it is going to take to get fixed and maybe confront him and see if he could help out some.

Congrats on the win at the show.  :clapping: Now on to the door issue.  :villagers: :stomp: :banghead: That to me is almost inexcusable. Lets face the facts we are at a car show with some very expensive paint jobs and, were else is it that one would be more careful with potential damage to our cars and other cars????? Like holy crap batman!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If i seem pissed.........i am. I know how u feel about it because i recieved a mistery door scratch at a show myself. I think i would talk to the fellow that is responsible and deal with it asap. Calm is the best initial response. OK thanks for letting me vent. Good luck with the repair.

I always park pretty far away from people in regular parking lots.  I was sitting in my truck last week waiting for Red to come out of a store.  This guy drives up and parks right next to my truck...there's 50 spaces around me and he parks right next to my truck!  I'm thinking...this guy is going to hit my truck with his door.  And of course, he opens his door with total disregard and hits my truck.  :stomp: :stomp:  I calmly get out of my truck and say..."Sir, you just opened your car door and hit my truck!"   He says..."it's no big deal, it hit the guard on the door".  "No, it did not hit the guard, it hit my paint".   So he slowly opens his door so he can see where it hits and, walla...it hits my door.  Fortunately it left no mark, but I stood amazed at the lack of respect for someone elses property!  At least the guy that hit your door knew what he did, but he should definately pay for it.  I'm no body person, but isn't that going to require a repaint of the door?

If that would have happened on the chally and I saw the person do it, I don't think I could have remained as calm as you did.  And, he definately would have been made to pay...even if I had to call the cops out there to make a report.  Sometimes the best lessons learned are the ones you have to pay for!

I would make him pay :villagers: period! if you damage someone else's property you should pay to fix it. Yes that stuff happens.... but maybe paying to have the thing fixed will teach him a valuable lesson.
