    i've decieded to restore my challenger and i want to try to find #'s matching parts. the guy i bought the car from has a few 318's around and my friend has one in his challenger that he may trade me for my 440 if it is the right one. but i want to see if the guy i bought it from has the origional motor. what #'s do i need to look for on the motor. how about #'s on other parts. any help would be great since this is my first mopar restoration.

    That will outline where to look for the numbers and all, just ignore the T/A specific stuff for you car.

    I did it!!!! I found the orgional motor and trans.!!!!!! the motor was in the weeds about 25 feet from where the car was sitting, and the guy had the trans in his shop.  :bananasmi let the fun begin.
