Speed Pro still has the 68 stock replacement piston , forged & it is above deck with close to 10:1 compression
other than that you can check with Diamond , Je , Ross , Possibly Probe & see what they ahve available , any are a good piston & do a lot of Mopar stuff

the  Speed Pro L 2385F will make 8.2 with a 68 cc head
the L2316F is 9.7 with a 68 cc head
both are available in std bore

I'm no longer in the market for stock pistons but good after market pistons .030 over.

More than likely a budget stroker motor.

Diamond with dish (for use with Edelbrocks or decent closed chamber heads...) 51411
Flat top (open chamber/racey with closed cahmber, very light...) 51008
Ross dished type   99786

Diamonds are a nicer peice IMO, and sometimes a little cheaper.

Do you think my machine shop would be able to get a better price on these parts or should I get them myself?

Virtually any machine shop has to charge for odering your parts , it takes time out of their day to do it
So anything you can do should save some $$$

Good point. I will try to piece together a final rotating assembly Friday/Sat and post it here to all to review.

But on the flip side if you supply the parts they will have no obligation to help you if a problem comes up...

Also a good point, and point taken.

I however I would think a good parts supply company like Summit, Jegs, etc would stand behind what they sell. Blems happen however you would think a good machine shop would let you know of bad parts before they hack them up. I plan on being there when they do my balance work.

If not to concerned about price, I talked to JE while at the SEMA show and they have a piston for 340's that give good compression and are good for forced induction if you decided to do that later whether it be turbo supercharger or nitrous.
