NEED HELP PLEASE!
« on: August 20, 2006 - 05:44:39 AM »
 :swear: :swear:

Anybody put an outrageously enormous hemi with tti headers into a stock engine compartment without hitting the power steering box on the driver's side and hitting the inner fender will (shock tower wall)

fitting into the motor mounts, not hitting torsion bars and center link and so on?

Considering rack & pinion conversion - was website unisteer.com or magnumforce conversion of entire front package?

Any experience knowledge pictures please?

may have to shim back the power steering box 1/4 inch if possible

Headers are in but are resting on ps box

are the engine mounts a problem ? I have used TTi before & had no problems with them hitting on Hemi installs
I have not used the AlterK tion & the magnum force is really a race piece , it has no prvisions fro sway bars Etc

AlterKtion is proven in your configuration, its what I run with Stage V headed hemi in 70 Chall, with TTI 2 1/8 normal exhaust port location.

The TTI header fits really tight even with a flaming river non power box.I would not shim the box itself.

Thanks 440 and tactrans. It runs good too. There's a little piece in the July 06 MCG, editor Rob Wolf talks about (p. 12) driving Kelly Painter's awesome 69 GTX with a Steve Dulcich built 572 putting out 685 hp, and "picking on the wrong Challenger; a convertible big inch Hemi car down from Seattle. That Challenger walked on the X from 120 on up.."

.. was just me having a little fun in Top Banana.
