Incorrect black out hood
« on: August 22, 2006 - 06:42:13 PM »
My 70 Chally has a black out hood decal which did not come with the car.  I want to remove it since I think it would look better without.  Any of you guys, or girls, have any tips on how to do this?  Will it come off in one piece like a giant piece of electrical tape or am I getting myself into a big project?  Any advise is apperciated.
Thanks
Mark

That is a real crap shoot.. some come off in a nice big piece with a heat gun and patience.  SOME DONT.
You may have to pick at it little by little, or you MAY try an 3M eraser wheel on an electric drill.
(If it doesnt peel off, anything else you do is time consuming.)
If you use the eraser wheel, be certain to be gentle until you get a "feel" for how it works, be certain not to damage your paint!
be careful. ... Wang.
