Whats that in the Rallye Cluster???
« on: August 23, 2006 - 03:54:35 PM »
Could anybody tell me what it is? I've only seen it on '72 -74 Challenger models. This should be a '70 model.

That's NOT a 70 model. 70's had the reset knobs thru the woodgrain. What you want identified is the seat belt light in later year E-Bodies. Here is a pic of my 70.  1970 also had the 8 grand tach.

:iagree: If the car in the picture that culvers posted is a 70 model then it has got the wrong rallye dash in it.

I got the same problem.................I have a 70 but it has a 73 dash...It is a seatbelt warning light.  However since I am doing mine as a driver and not for show I am just happy to have a dash!!!!!!!!!!!!!1  See my site...
http://big-dog.us/challenger/.....I have redone the woodgrain (from Year One.)  They were kind enough to exchange the 70 kit for a 73.  It had the cutout for the light.

Seatbelt warning light--I'm probably one of the few that never disconnected it, and yes, it can be very irritating...a sick buzz if the cars running and it's not in park...on the '74's I believe originally they wouldn't even start (stock) unless the belts were buckled.
