I am finally the proud owner of 2 Challengers!
Cars were shipped out last week- they needed help getting on the truck- They were rollers sittin' in the Arizona desert.
When they arrived, my neighbors materialized out of no where to help me push them inside. I think they were more excited than I was. Heck, even my neighbor who had hip-replacement surgury in January lent a hand.
They came yesterday, and I began working on stripping the parts car immidiately.
Took off what remained of the vinyl roof- nothing but shreds and rust. This one needs a new roof for sure. More holes in the roof than....fill in the blank.
Took out the interior headliner, carpet and buckets to get to the goodies and see what kind of shell I got. Turns out its SUPER clean.
When I took out the buckets, I noticed that they looked like they were re-covered. I saw more vinyl beneath the foam. Lo and behold, there was the original seat and original Vinyl. Foam even looks savable. No rodents either.
Now the goodies. I went to pull the back seat, and BLAMMO- there it was- textbook location, still intact, the original buildsheet!
This car is going to be the sacrificial lamb for the blue car. Complete interior comes from the white car minus SE doorpanels I have already purchased.
Hood and decklid will also come from the white car.
The blue car looks pretty good. She's straight as an arrow, with only a few minor blemishes. Needs a driver's trunk extension and a 2-3 small dollar bill sized patches
in the floor area, but overall excellent shape.
Stay tuned. Here are some pics to whet your whistle.
