I just received my radiator from Harms Auto.I have never changed a radiator,is it a pretty simple process?

yes , drain the coolant , undo the hoses & tranny lines & shroud if you have one & remove the 2 top bolts , loosen the 2 bottom bolts & the rad will slide otu

All Depends on the motor & radiator capacity & that can vary somewhat. What I do is buy two gallons of Coolant concentrate put one gallon in + one gallon water. use the empty jug to measure out a half gallon then fill the two halves with water so I have two gallons 50/50 mixed, then keep adding warming the motor as I go till she's full.
FYI a 73 400 w/ac 18 quarts a 318 16 quarts ..
50/50 mix generaly good to -32 the coolant label should tell you.

My car is a 440 6pack with a 26" radiator.I already put 2 gallons anti freeze ,1 gallon water and the radiator is filled.

Have you started the car & let the coolant circulate to get air out of the motor? did you drain the motor completely or just the radiator. to begin with?

I only emptied the radiator.I just took the car for a ride with the heat on.When it cools down I will check it again.
