I'm finaly finished with my Barracuda. And I testet it toroughly this weekend on a roadrace track! Here are the pictures!

The AAR stripes was put on, then we started masking the front for the final AAR blackout treatment. Note the the old Ford, have rolled in a this area since new!

The green gotta go!

The final result. Wicked!

This weekend we went to a nearby town, where the best racetrack in Scandinavia lies. Open track event, that draws some serious crowd. Lot of jap and euro cars.

This is the drifting contest, a Dodge Ram SRT-10 have just lost control. He made up for it by showing of in a cloud of smoke.

Thousands of viewers. Fast Cars, hot weather and girls, what more could you ask for?

I got a price too, 3rd best American Car. A buddy of mine with a 1934 Plymouth Hot Rod won 1st, a Ford SVT Lightning got 2nd.

The 'Cuda was not built just to shine. I had to hit the tracks, and drive hard!  :burnout:

This picture is the same event last year. Glad I did a resto.

Waiting to get on the track on pit road. People really liked the 'Cuda. I was the only american car out there except the SRT-10 and the Lightning. I think most people was surprised to see me out there, and to see how well it cornered.

It was getting a bit dark.

Pedal to the metal!!

The V8 made a beautiful tune, and was a nice difference to the turbocharged 4 and 6es.

Saturday night we checked in to a camping and had a social gathering, eating and drinking a beer. Talking about the days event, and stories from the track. My buds 1974 Ford Capri 3.0 Turbo in front.

Sunday morning, tearing the track up again! Too much fun!

This is me. The car preformed really well! I was pleased with my modifications. KYB shocks, Hemi T-bars, utherane all around, all new balljoints, Sub frame connectors and TTI exhaust.

Another picture, All American Racer where it belongs.

Final picture. Stay tuned, I've uploaded a in car video on google, will probably take a few days.

Too Cool!   :2thumbs:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Haven't decided on the AAR exhaust yet, couldn't take the extra cost this time around, will see in the future. I'll have them out back for now.
The car handled quite well, to be honest, the major setback handelingwise are the tires. I need low profile on 17" for optimal handling, 60 profile tends to give after in the bends, could not get the rear out dough, got 275/60-15 out back. How fast? don't know, didn't look at the speedo, I noticed I was up in 70 mph at the end of the main straight, but I know my speedo is wrong with those huge tires in the rear. And that is not the fastest part of the track anyway. I got stock brakes, and those where ok, could have been bether, but after a few laps I started to downshift the automatic before the turns and that helped braking alot, pluss it was much more fun using the slapstick active.
