'JB' initials from the Hamtramck assembly plant?
« on: August 27, 2006 - 04:12:02 PM »

My early '71 'Cuda has on its left rear inner fender (behind the rear seat back) a white inspection signature -- picture attached.  It's most likely a stylized 'JB', or possibly a 'J3'.  Anyone know the name of the inspector at the Hamtramck assembly plant?  Just wondering ... it's someday going to get painted over, unfortunately.

This one is new to me, I have seen a few that say "Rock" though.

Sometimes names were written on the backs of the glove box liners too.

Mr. 437 signed mine!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Glove box long gone ... and unfortunately my build sheet(s) too.

I remember reading about 'Rock' some years ago.  Was he at the Hamtramck plant too?

Yep, Rock hung out at Hamtramck in 1970, not sure about 1971 though.
