440 and 727 Tranny $500
« on: August 27, 2006 - 09:12:32 PM »
Need to get rid of this big block I just got.  It is a 1978 440.  It is a #3 casting.  Was pulled running from a Van a year ago I was told.  Just put in a garage and never installed.  I was able to move the crankshaft around, so it isn't locked up.  Comes with all the acc. that you need for your car, p/s, good alt, a/c, cruise control.

I'm asking $600.

It is located in Skokie, Il and whom ever buys it, is responsible for pickup because I don't have an engine hoist to move it.

Still available?  And is it complete (i.e. assuming it runs, could it be put in a vehicle without needing to purchase anything else)?.

I've heard that truck brackets won't work, they will hit the hood.  But all you would have to do is convert it to some car ones and be good to go.

I've actually talked to you a few times about the 440, I believe you contacted me on Ebay and through Moparts.  I am in DeKalb currently as well.

I have sold the 440 though, but have a few other parts as well, let me know.
