New covers from Legendary, VHT Satin Red Vinyl Dye, restorated bars + Y1 interior screw kit  -> my seats look pretty nice. Of course there is few scratches but SO WHAT! I'm happy with these

Nice  job  ....how  did you  prep the plastic  back panel  ? Mine  are red plastic'paint' black with some flaking off.  Could  you lightly  sand blast  the part to remove the paint  then  use this dye product? How  easy  is the cover install..........thx.....DK

I got my VHT Dye from finnish Rod Shop . I think you can get SEM or VHT "everywhere" there in Canada and USA.
Summit price is about 8-9 usd / can. I think 1 can is enough for 2 seats.

Thanks. Prepping was easy because panels were unpainted. Just washing with soap and anti silicone many many many times.
I have never tried sanding plastic parts -  sorry. Cover installing was quite easy - I got some help from my friend. Check

I've been considering using the dye product and was wondering how well it holds up to scratches. Does the dye come off easily and expose the original finish? Or will it hold up to everyday abuse?
