I agree with the choices , a 114 CL is nessisary you have to decide which type of cam to use , lift is free so get as much as possible
I do not like Hughes for cams though , either way it needs to be custom grind , I have UltraDyne & Engle grinds that will work well that we can get specifically taylored to your engine

 hi
hydr will that do it?  /some says that hydr will perform as good as a  roller ?
power range in  2500-6500 rpm
can you come with some  idea
will  performer rpm be better then M1   or  ( intake ) :clueless:

(I got now a custom  cam 294  with  520 lift 1,5 ration but not designt for blower ! )

thanks

From Engle I would look at K58 /K60 -114* CL cam or a K60/K62 114*cl
I feel your compression may be too high to run 10 Psi boost witout octane boost but it may work out , I know you have better fuels in Europe
at 6500 RPM you are at or just past the reliable limit of hyd cams / lifters & may have stability problems , but going to a solid cam will require pushrods & mechanical rockers which will cost more
UltraDyne has a 243 * duration cam with .548 lift with 1.5 rockers + approx .38 extra lift with 1.6 rockers , you will also need it ground with a 114* Cl , they can be ordered through Lunati

k60/h62 114 ci= in539lift/exh557 lift
right or ?                (neede more exh lift with boosted  right?)
what about intake   m1 or Edelbrock performer rpm, ?

with a blown application I do not feel the dual plane will help so I would use the M1
the dual plane is designed to reduce the amount of air that needs to be moved to suck air inthe the cylinder , under pressure this makes No difference ed

TVA, I just saw your profile. I have built an engine similar to yours and was wondering what cam you ended up with.

I have a 408 based 360 with a D1-SC Pro-Charger. Tremec 5 speed and 3.73 gears. I use the Hughes cam you mentioned (2228AL w/ 114 degree LSA).

It works very good.

hi  go-fish
that is nice to hear !  .. procharging the engiens is nice got a lot of power when you need it

I got the crane power max   Grind Number: HR-222/339-2S-12 IG
 http://www.cranecams.com/index.php?show=browseParts&action=partSpec&partNumber=699621&lvl=2&prt=5

nearly the sames as hughes .. got more lift on Exhaust Valve

and then  got new heads on , Eddy from hughes  stage III  : http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/products.php?browse=category&level0=U21hbGwgQmxvY2snTEEnIDI3MywzMTgsMzQwIGFuZCAzNjAgZW5naW5lcw==&level1=Q3lsaW5kZXIgSGVhZHM=&partid=22211

that is working very very good!! ( I am right now putting caltrack  on ...to  get better tracksion )

and at last just got a new  F1A procharger
sooooo can´t wait for the spring..
