SPeaking of Del-Sol's.......................................

There once was this 52 year old man, who had a thing for a married 23 year old woman, after several @$$ KICKING'S by her husband, he still would not leave her alone. (found out later she was not exactly innocent).....anyway, one day, me and a buddy (olds freak) were driving through town, in his Olds Diesel (remember those?) and the Del Sol moron ended up next to us at a light.
He saw me and got all macho, and started revving his engine.
Well..................................olds 88 dismal happens to have propane injection, and some nitrous. Yeah, we smoked him, with a olds dismal and a 200 overdrive automatic. No crap! You can use diesel to fry rice too!

As an owner of both a 71 440 Cuda and a 91 NSX, I would like to comment.

First, most NSX owners do not consider themselves "Ricers." I certainly do not. The NSX can stand on its own without cheap ass wings and whatnot.

Second, the NSX is not a quarter mile car. If the NSX'er thought he could beat any old car or whatever off the line, he was an idiot. The NSX is for handling and top speed, period. The 5 speed manual on the early NSX's has too much spacing between the first and second gear ratios to run a quick 1/8th mile, and will only use 3 of its 5 gears in the quarter.

Third, the NSX is still pretty quick for being a 270 hp 6 banger. It can run a mid 13 quarter pretty consistently. But my Cuda can beat it with 2 barrels closed.

Lastly, I love my Cuda. But I love my NSX too. And I hate riced up Civics, Accords, etc!!

Im new here, I had to comment on this.  I ran a 13.2 in a stock 426 HEMI, and that was with street tires and a the stock gear.  Isn't mid 13's pretty optimistic for a NSX?

:burnout:  As an old hemi owner, I am in no way leaning one way or the other.  :dunno:  but according to the test done by Car & Driver Magazine a stock 2002 Accura NSX ran a 13:17 @ 107.65 mph.  :burnout: .. www.autofacts.ca/classics/fast.htm   ............Oldschool

The NSX is up there with the Italian Supercars.  In fact, the NSX is credited with embarrassing Ferrari into better production standards.

Not at all, it only makes 270, but it's light.

very light

Although the NSX was made as a car for the entire drving experiece, not nessecarily speed.

there were plans in the works for a 350+ HP V-8, but the NSX got axed before it happened. now there on some Zonda wannabe design
