Let the game begin(clowns challenger)
« on: September 05, 2006 - 04:49:29 PM »
Just a quick update on the challenger. The parts car is totally apart and now it's time to get everything prepped and fit into place.I really need to start on this because I have run out of room in my garage. The photo of the trunk was just for fun I needed a place to store the pan for now and since I have owned it this is the most steel in the trunk----hhee------------the clown

I actually haven't worked in a bodyshop in about 16 years, got tired of the politics and bad mouthing that seems to run like a plague.I only do bodywork for myself now and I have never taken on a task this involved but for some reason it doesn't scare me.I think it's because I want this car so bad and can have it with a lot of work. And thanks to people on this site because your backing is just incredible.---------the clown

I want to say thank you to you all because since I have joined this awsome site so many things have happened to me as far as cars go.It's been an incredible year with great changes happening with the cars I love.I now own a 70 340 challenger,My 69 cuda is running and driving.I have met some really great mopar people here and have torn down a hemi engine, have the chance to buy a car with a history as an ss/aa car. This may sound crazy to some but the fact is for the last five years I just moped around here complaining that I didn't have the money to restore my 69 cuda and the people here gave me the incentive to get off my a$$ and make it happen. And happen it did so from the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you. oh ya one other thing last year my wife and I went to the Lake George car show by ourselves, and when we got home my son really was mad that he didnt get to go.So even though the cuda was in boxes throughout my garage, the engine was under the bench.I made a promise to my son that next year we would have that car ready for the show, next year is here and my friend tony will be bringing home the trailer and she will be loaded and ready to haul out on friday.I can't wait to see my son's face when we arrive.------------the Clown

Mad at you??  Never!  You're the Clown...who could be mad at the Clown?   :grinno: :grinno:  You're making great progress and I love to watch the thread.  This is definately something I could never do!

The duster is sloooow going.  Still sanding down filler so we can get another coat of primer on there.  Hopefully soon, we can get to something a little more exciting!  :jumping:
