good street cam for a 440

I was looking at the Lunati cam, Advertised Duration 268/276, Lift .494/.513 for this 440 HP engine. I'm going to bore it .030 over and run Ross flat tops with the 906 heads. The last motor I did I ran the 484 Mopar and wasn't too thrilled with it.

Should I changed the dual springs? I won't be going past 5300 rpm with this car.

Any suggestions?

the Lunati VooDoo cams would be a good choice  , not sure if that is a a VooDoo grind or not
I have used VooDoo cams & they are good , I have also used a lot of the Engle grinds which work great
 If you have dual springs they should be good if they are not weakened , it should be safe to 5500 easily

I know there are a ton of them out there, but the guy that builds my engines takes me for test rides in the ones he's built whenever I am down at the shop, and I gotta say the new .525 lift hyd Comp cams deal  he put in a basically stock 44o with 3.23 gears really runs awesome.  If you have a very mild or stock converter and gears, and just want a little muscle car lump to the idle with the tunability of a stock cam and still have the grunt to run with the big dogs, this baby is for you, it runs...see attached pic of '70 Charger engine bay he just restored and installed the new engine he built:horse:

He pulled the 484 because the mild convertoer wouldn't let the car idle in gear, and he wanted to keep the converter stock so he could drive it long distance. The .525 comp cam allowed the converter to stay, and gave the engine way more mid and upper rpm pull than the 484 mopar cam. I was very impressed. I think one will be going in my small block, and as I right this, he is ordering one for a 360/408 combo that I will make sure I am around the shop for when its installed.

That should be a good cam for that RPM range.  The dual springs should be okay, but if I were doing it, I would want the recommended springs just because it was a new cam.  Good luck.
