My 1:24 Clone Cuda!
« on: September 09, 2006 - 10:46:30 AM »
I have had a few of these models sitting around and a couple days ago I started playing around.  This is what it looks likes today.  It started to rain here so I decided to keep going on her.  Now I just need a rallye hood for it and it will be pretty close!

That looks really good Cannibal, any idea how to make it grow? That's a nice Cuda.

Cool, had the same problem, got a shaker on my clone too(also fender gills) but I got a color that was pretty close! Next one I hope to shoot with leftover paint! Rich.

It's cool having a replica to pose with your car!  I took these pictures, wish I knew a way to get them both in focus! :pullinghair:

Could you add water to make them grow?  Just don't forget them on the driveway before you leave!

I love to see the replica's with the real thing!!  Those are awesome.  Now I just need my car to be as cool as the model....Hemi and Shaker hood.  Notice I didn't paint the gills yet, as I will wait until my "real" car has them!!

I was bored and painted a Mopar M on the battery....but the pic didn't pic it up very good.  That was the best part!!  :roflsmiley:

I always wanted a "mini-me" of my car.  After much trouble, I said I would buy the clone first and then try to find the car.

To do that you need to move further away and then use a zoom lens to pull the shot in closer.

Very cool model, Cannibal!   Love the shot of the model near the real car!  Looks like they're marching along together!  Keep up the great work!

Might be hard to find a Rallye hood for a Cuda as most models have a shaker.  Keep looking though.  Might find one on Ebay or something.

I like doing models too!  Helps when I don't get a chance to work on the real thing.

Here's my "mini-me" as cudabuyer said:

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

If you have a digital SLR or camera that you can adjust the aperture just select the smallest opening (largest F/ number). This will increase the depth of field and both cars should be in focus. You may also need to do what 392heminut said, and move back a bit and shoot with a narrower field of view.
