I'm goin crazy with clear Krylon engine enamel but I can't give you a 2yr guarantee yet, not for a couple of years anyway.  :roflsmiley:
I know someone here had their shiney valve covers powder coated & the results were not that great (dull).

Clear powder coat would be the best way to keep it looking brand spankin new for a LONG time. Though not cheap of course..

Dragula, a little more info if you would... How often do you spray that?  Do you just spray it on and wipe
off the excess?  Some of the sites hype Gibbs like snake oil so I've been a little leery of ordering some.

Its primered and then painted. Fuel runs right off it, and leaves no stains. Trust me, I have gotten some fuel on it, and nada, wipes clean and looks like natural aluminum.  :droolingbounce:
