Canadian Newbie
« on: September 10, 2006 - 07:18:25 PM »
Hello from Ontario, Canada

I was at a car show in town today and one of the guys there said I had to join this group, so here I am

I own a 1972 Challenger Rallye, Top Banana with 340 4bbl and 727 tranny (all matching numbers).  I've had the car since 1999, bought from a local car dealer, and have slowly restored it during the past few winters.  When I bought the car it was in running condition, but the engine was not hitting on all cylinders.  It is an original Ontatio car, titled by only 1 previous owner and myself.  Since I bought the car it has been on the road every summer, used as a daily driver for the first year in the summer.  The engine and tranny have been rebuilt, the interior has been partially restored and the car has been repainted.  I added the beautiful rallye stripes but will leave the vinyl roof off as it looks so go as it is.

Also a newbie to Web Boards so can't figure out how to reduce my images, guess I'll figure that out sometime

Howdy Rob72, Plenty of good folks here to converse with including many Canadians. To reduce a picture I open it in MS paind & use the stretch skew took till it looks like it will fit in the screen area & then "SAVE AS" a jpeg before uplaading here.
Again WELCOME

Hi Rob, welcome to the board!  Do the person who told you about the site say what his screen name was?  Just curious. Sounds like a beautiful car you have.  If you're still having problems with resizing your pictures, you can always send them to me at ll_davis@hotmail and I'll resize and post them for you.

Make yourself at home!

  Hi Rob72!

Like the others said, can't wait to see your car!  I kinda like the '72 Rallyes myself!  ;)
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Sweet looking car, Rob72!

Your car reminds me of the picture on the back of the '72 Challenger brochure, except for the vinyl roof!
