Looking GoooooooooooD!!   I'm in need of a windshield. Were you happy with yours? was it thinner? i saw the pic...did the chrome lay down good? Where did you order from?      Thanks for the pics!

I can't say the glass was thinner since I destroyed the first one.  It was ordered thru the local NAPA store.  About $150.   I got the clips from a local body shop, had to guess how far down they went in the channel and drilled and mounted them. The chrome was/is a little beat up but I didn't have any choice.  It did go on well though.  Got to mount the wipers now.

Wade, I was wondering where you had been.  If yours is 18, you have a little time  :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: .  But as you get older the time goes faster.   By the way, I have another grandkid on the way.  Don't know what it is yet!!

Thanks to all for the comments,   I am looking forward to putting her on the road soon. David

Rear valance is a pain...........The mounting tabs don't line up with the rear of the fenders.   I know there was some work done on the right rear but the left should have gone on better.   I mounted it but took some rigging and I still have  some tweeking to do.

I will take some pics in the daylight tomorrow maybe.............

Hey.....got a question..........Right under the rear bumper , where the rear valence bolts on, is this supposed to be painted black like the BB stripe.   The way my stripe wraps around the tail, the valence kind of stands out .  I am tempted to paint it .   Any thoughts????????????????

Well I did it.......Since the stripe didn't look right to me, I went the extra step and did some not so factory painting.   I am pleased with the results.  Any and all comments are welcome..........

And since the bumper guards were rusted beyond rechroming.........They are bondoed and painted.   If it wasn't a yellow color I am not sure of the same result, but I think all is well.  I think bumblebees have stripes all way around their tail anyway!!!

I see why you did it, and for the most part I like it.  I don't think I like the way it bisected the license plate mount, though. Not sure what I would have done instead. Of course, what matters is that you like it.

Thanks, it's comming along.  I had to send the rear chrome bumper back to Ogden Chrome because they had too much of a bend in the bumper when they were fixing it.  They did a good job getting it right.  Did you send yours out to get rechromed?

I still have my original bumpers.  I bought new ones from Auto Body Specialities.  The chrome  looks good but I had a problem when I installed my rear one.   They said I tightened the bolts too tight and the chrome cracked.  I got a replacement rear one but had to pay the freight again.  Live and learn.  When I put the second one on I put a large washer inbetween the bumper and bracket.  And I was careful when I tightened this one up.  I guess now I have a couple of bumper cores for sale!!!
