That video shows exactly how I do graphics all the time. With you hood decal, if you place the hinge in the center of the hood (front to back), I'd recommend that you do the front first.  This way, gravity will keep you from getting the backing paper on the other half wet while you are working on the front.  If you do the back first, your backing paper may get excessively wet and that can cause all kinds of problems.

Ok , My gast tank gave up on me for the second time...........Ordered a new one from Dante' and it should be here in a couple of days.  I don't think I will have any problems removing and reinstalling......I will post pics.

Got some 70 wheel centers from Steve....(quapman) and some trunk lid emblems.   Will post pics also and I still have to put on the hood blackout.  Getting excited again about doing something new to the  car.    Later, David

Rots-o-Ruck with your tank change.. You may want to lube the filler neck good so you don't destroy the big grommet.   :2cents:

Got  the tank changed out....went pretty smooth.  The only hitch was putting the rear valence back on....those 6 bolts on the top and nuts were tough.  Especialy the two that fit on the back side of the L shaped bracket.  Had to have the wife help me with those two.  Also put on the 70 centers. I feel more correct now.............

Way to go Dave. You have a beautiful car, so if you took 3rd there must have been some amazing vehicles there this year.

Who had the best price on Hood letters now.?????  After I put on the blackout, the letters I had really need some work and I can't make them look like new.

You know I have always had a soft spot for yellow and with the black contrasts on the front and back now, it only makes the car look better, hmm, having just picked up my RT you got me wavering on the white paintjob..... Noo, Ill stick to the white, its a very forgiving color and my last dodge was yellow, but hey, it looks nice! Btw, when you get a set of new dodge letters, keep me in mind for your original set as my RT hod has none, cheers,
Gary

Thanks Gary.  I know you got your car from Steve.  He is a great guy.  Thats where I got my 70 centers and emblems for the trunk lid.  Good luck with your build.  I know you said you were about 160 miles away........where is that?

Hey Dave, Im in Greenville NC on the eastern edge for now, I am heading back to the Sunburnt country in about three weeks, but I will be back in a few months, I expect when I do get back and organise a proper place and all to do the car I will be able to spend a couple of hours a day on it so time frame will be more controlled by my labour than finding stuff. Finding the bits is easier i think, I've learnt over the years you just search far and wide and leave no stone unturned and eventually the gems appear. Who would have thought by joining Cuda-challenger forum a couple of weeks ago would have netted me an original RT 70 Challenger for less than three grand? :clapping: AS for Steve, yes great guy, upright and honest, definitely a keeper,  :ylsuper: I think soon Ill put up a wants list too and see what comes up. And thanks for dibs on the letters  :aussie:
