That is turning out very nice  What material was used to fill in around the rear window plug? Please, if possible, post pics or describe the Headliner install process when you're at that point  :picture: :worshippy

I will find out what he used around the insert.  He got it real smooth and if I had known it would have turned out this way I may have had second thoughts on the vinyl top....BUT  being an SE.......It had to have one to  look correct and the way the yellow is showing it may have been too much to not have the vinyl top.  Headliner is a ways off..........but I will post pics.  Here and on my site.........Thanks to everyone for the flowers too..........

A couple more pics from today.  I think it looks brighter today.  It was sunshine out today but I will wait until he gets the top on before I post some more.  I did take the top to the shop today.  I'm getting excited now...........

I need the trim piece that goes onto the back of the front hood.  SE only part.  If you have another one or know of someone that does, I really need it.  Looking good BTW!

Thanks Greg.  I was told I could pick her up tomorrow afternooon.  :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:  I was lucky in that the only trim missing was the piece that goes on the front valence............I don't have an extra hood trim piece either so If you have the two small fender pieces I would hold off on putting them on until I found the long piece.  Did you but new bumpers or have decent one to start with??

Those (two piece) 70 front valence trim pieces are tough to find. A few used sets went for in the $300 range on ebay last year - including the set i won for $305. This NOS set went for a few shekels more just recently. If you absolutely positively need to see some chrome on your front valence, go with a 71-74 issue and it's corresponding trim piece as the trim mounts on differently located tabs those years and the single chrome piece is more readily available at a fraction of the cost

I sent mine to a company called Ogden Chrome Plating.  They are in Ogden, Utah.  One of the bumpers needed some metal reshaping work.  They did a very good job.  I had used them on my '68 Charger project that is nearly complete as well.

Finallly got her home about 9:00 tonight.  I will take some daylight pics Sunday to post but in the meantime here are some at home.  I even stripped the walls of the garage and painted ( at the wifes request) to give  a nice place to come home to.

Rusty/Se......asked what was used to fill in around the window plug?  It was fiberglass filler called kitty hair or short fiber fiberglass..........hope that helps........

I don't know if the stripe is to exact factory specs but I like it and I think it sets the rear end off well.........
