My son is changing my web site.  He has some of the chapters started  but in a new format.  It will take a few weeks to finish but at least this will be on line and show more pics of the resto. I know some of these pics in this thread has dissappeared but the website will show a lot more anyway.

I have been to a few more cruise-ins and some pics attached...

Thanks Wade.   Not as good as it could have been.  I could have a better shot but that is a one way street.  The sun was on the left so could only get the rear view bright.  The trees are in a church yard........best I didn't get on the grass.......and I was afraid to wait another week for the leaves to change some  more.  Last year i was going to do the same pic........tree was full on a Friday afternoon and I went back Sat morning and after a rain Friday night the tree was bare.   Later, David

Be very careful.  If there was a spary gel incuded use it.  If not use a solution os water, dish soap (several drops) and a capful of rubbing alcohol.  Squeegee the death out of it.  When you think you are done sqeegeeing - do it some more.  Best bet is to install it when the temperature is over 60 degrees F.  If you remove the transfer tape and there are some bubbles - do not stres about it - that is very common and will usually come out with time.

Lastly, this is actually one of the most difficult decals to install, if you doubt your ability to do it, try contacting a local sign company and see if the have someone that cna do it for you.

Dave, just reviewed your web site of your restoration.  Great job!!  :2thumbs:  Question: I noted that your "zeroed" out your speedo during your build.  Did you do this yourself?  If so, do you have any tricks other than the drill hooked up to the back of the speedo?  Thanks

From my very limited experience you want to measure & mark the center of the hood and the decal, tape the decal down at the center, there should be a seam in the backing paper about there. Remove the paper from the center pulling from underneath spraying Gary's spray solution as you go, then remove tape & do the other side...on a piece this large you could use an exrta set of hands IMO.

Hey Brad........Thanks for the comments........If I remember correctly.....I actually somehow took the drive gear loose and manually reset all the numbers to 0.  No drill was used.........It wasn't hard to do but I didn't take pics of the actual process and now I wish I had......Good Luck. 

Wade...........Come on up............... when it gets to 60 degrees up here I can install..........I have requested directions from the supplier....Waiting on them too.  :bigsmile:

Pretty much how I would approach it but I'd hope there would be a seam in the backing paper that you could pull  from the middle out doing a little at a time rather than a whole side at once... if the seam is there I'd use whatever that indicates otherwise do one side & then the other like in the video.  :2cents:
