What's up with this stuff?
« on: September 14, 2006 - 12:30:39 PM »
Anyone noticed the "unusual" new members we have been getting lately?   :clueless:   The latest member is called SheMaleGirl.  Also had a CumBabe join the other day.  I don't think we need that kind of membership here.   :stomp:   Maybe all the talk about sexy shoes got em stirred up.......   :smilielol:   :smilielol:   :roflsmiley:      :cooldancing:

They got so bad on another Mopar board where I was a mod that when a member signed up they had to be "approved" by one of the mods before they could post. I whacked a lot of them, mostly due to sexual and drug references.

Rev, please find a way to block these invaders.  One of the main reasons I like this forum so much is the lack of vulgarity.

They arent automated, SMF has things to protect against automated users signing up (like having to type the text you see in the picture). They are probably people getting paid to advertise these things.

Rev, isn't there a way that you have to give permission for new members to join? This is to great of a site to have losers like that here.

I'll look into it and talk with Ross about it.  Looks like we need to protect ourselves somehow.

I wish we could have something like a bouncer. I'm always up for work at 0500 CT, so I see a lot of weird stuff. Could be a resident member thing, the more eyes looking the better.

Probable but SMF forums don't use that: "type what you see" method. Not on this version (or mine).
The ones I have seen have been automated......spiders of the under world, these guys are getting good.

I'm glad you guys are paying attention, I was getting kind of bummed and was kind of staying away because I cliked the cum girl cause I thought it was one of you guys joking.  I didn't expect that and was quite embarrassed.  I'm not a prude but I've been around the block a few times and I don't need that kind of junk.  Thanks for caring
