I think this new level of registering is working.  We've only had one spammer (a really bad one too...with pictures) go through the hassle of registering.  I've caught many of them through our filter and have banned them (easy to tell by their names ) 

I hope I didn't just jinx us....

Actually there were three spammers caught in the net in the last two days.  They show up on the front page as "Newest Member" but in fact they haven't activated their registration.  We get probably 2 or 3 a day that get booted.  At least this new registration system keeps most of them from posting their wares on our board.  I just clean up every other day or so to keep the riff-raff out.
