Yep, you did ask me my opinion of the calendar pic you should submit. Of the three, this one I liked least. You did NOT however ask me my opinion for the poster. Given the 3 options you provided here, the picture chosen by 6pkrunner was the best of the three, even though it was the one I liked least for the calendar.

  Anyone follow that??  :clueless:

I parked the Pimp Panther in Oslo one summerday, as i so often do. But this time a photographer with a keen eye for details saw an opportunity for a great shot in my parking.
This is the result:

Notice the Kowalski-lookalike who just happened to be in the background!

I've been in touch with the photographer, Bjornar Haaland, and he certainly won't mind if this photo will be used for the poster.
Now, i don't know whether the format of this file is good enough for 6pkrunner's specs or not, but the photographer told me he could send me what he got. 6pkrunner, could you help out here by telling me what you want if this format don't work for you?

Thanks to Babyelephant for finding it for me!!

That will work out fine for the poster, but does not carry enough resolution to go much bigger. Of all the shots I have gotten so far approximately 80% are of sufficient resolution (filesize and clarity) to be made into individual car posters of around 24x31 inches. This is just if the owner would like a shot of their car alone when they get a poster. If you are not intertested then that shot will be sufficient to make the grade.
If you do want that, then just get the large file from the camera owner and email it to me.
And Barry Newman will never die. :grinyes:

6pkrunner, you'll get a larger file from me. I'd really like a poster of that image!

Depends on how big I can make the image before it falls apart. Most of the ones I have gotten can probably got to a 24x32 or so size. Filesize alone does not guarantee a nice image. The make of camera still plays a large part in the quality of the image.
So for a 24x32 or so will be around $10 more if you get a poster. If you got a huge or very good image and it can stretch out ot 36x80 or so will that will be around $35. These are laminated prints are are not cheap crap. And, of course, any size inbetween will be pretty much proportionate between those to. Almost any size can be made but it will retain the original ratio of height versus width. It can be cropped for custom fits and also distorted slightly, but those are avenues best not travelled down - well cropping is fine.

The thing is for a few years I sent guys stuff using regular post. So much stuff went lost or damaged I switched over to courier service. I've only ever has one hassle with courier in  almost three years. Basic courier service runs about $17-$18 per tube. So instead of taking a big hit for one poster, that same coin can cover off several posters in the tube. So I figure if a guy (or gal) can get two or more for the same cost - why not.
Just trying to defer the shipping cost a bit, that's all. And regular post on these tubes isn't a great lot cheaper. And courier offers traceability, and has a 3-5 business day pseudo-guarantee. Regular post could be 2-4 weeks in some cases.

Tends to concentrate the focus a bit with them angled inward. Towards the end of putting it together there may be a few that are facing differently, but that bridge will be crossed when it is reached.

Anyone else want to get in on this please send your pictures.
