Got The rear end put in my car over the last few days. Still need to finish up but it wont be long till it is on wheels again after no wheels for 5+ years. this is also the dana rear end I made for around $65.00 . It is a 86 Ford F-250 truck rear end I just cut ends off axle tubes and put the ends and axles out of My B Body 8 3/4 rear end. Everyone said it wouldnt work but who am I to listen. Anyway It worked great. It is about 3/4" Narrower overall but I can live with that. It is not a posi so I will have to buy a posi unit [hope to find a good used one I do Work at A ford dealership anyway] it has a 331 gear which I think will work great on the hwy with my 4sp.

heres a few pics of my superbird conv project on down the road. it was a 69 Coronet conv very rusty from NY I was going to reskin it as a 70 RR to make a conv superbird out of. But I have a nice body 70 Road Runner I bought off ebay a while back I was going to fix But now I will be just cutting the top off the 70 RR and do it like I did my Challenger conv in other thread. Much easier and dont have to replace floors and quarters and tail panel this way. this will be one of my next projects when I get my sunroof superbird done. but here they are as they sit.

Here is the Daytona 4x4 as it sits. I have traded the nice 69 front clip for a 70 front clip but thats all thats different now. It will be a project on down the road. it was a 68 Charger and I sit it on a 78 Dodge moncho wagon 440 4x4 truck frame. always wanted to make my 69 Charger 4x4 a daytona for 20 yrs now. so when I got this 440 4x4 truck in I just pulled this 68 Charger out of my junkyard and decided to build one out of it

Hey 71RTSEWagon,
Did you have to modify the 4x4 frame for the length of the car bodies?  How did you attach them; bolting or welding?  Also what did you do to attach the steering?
I am thinking about doing this setup with a 70 Dart I have in the yard.  Just wanted to see the problems you went through before I start.
Thanks

The Chargers sit right on a short bed dodge truck frame. then I make mounts and weld them on. stearing just use a couple u joint conectors. Heres what I got done this weekend on the bird. I got the sunroof in. put the gas tank in. and painted the wing.

:iagree:  I love the hood scoop!  Looks very factory!

What scoop is that from?  Is it a Super Bee scoop?

have not done much lately. been trying to clean my garage. so I made a axle for front so I can roll it around. this will be the only superbird gasser you will ever see? Ha Ha  :roflsmiley: but heres some pics of it outside. and put my Challenger conv in garage so maybe I can get the motor in it this winter so I can beat around in it next summer and blow a few tires out :burnout:
