Definitely looking for metal. No plastic. As close to the original pattern as possible.

Do these even exist?

Are you talking about the side louvers that were available on 71-74 Challys, or the rear window louvers? I bought a set of aluminum rear window louvers from someone on E-bay that makes them himself. Very sturdy. The only difference between these and the factory, is that these don't have hinges that need to be bolted on to the roof.

The ad below is from the crew that made the 1971 wing cars, I have not seen their louvers in person, but I have heard that they are exact reproductions of the originals.

Alaskan: $1000.00! Jeeze. I guess if you have a car that "needs" correct you've gotta do what you gotta do.

Fortunately, I don't have that problem. :-)

MEKrunner: Those look awesome. They would also keep me from having to drill any holes in my roof.

I think I remember seeing those on Ebay awhile ago. I guess I'll just keep checking for when he re-lists some.

Chryco:That's a tough one... do we want a moving economy where the local craftsmen are employed, or do we want a bit of economic stagnation so we can get our louvers made...?  :-)

For the record, the last time I saw the louvers I have on E-Bay, the guy wanted $360 for them. All I can tell you is he is located in Western Pa.

I take it you don't want original ones? If you need original ones and hardware let me know in a PM or email as I do not make it around here often... danj@alohadreamcars.com
