Can't sleep... lost my best friend of 16 years today..

Sorry to hear about your friend.Over two years since we lost Star after 17 years but still think of her alot.You can never replace them but now we have 2 terrors!

That is my dilema. Do I dare try to replace a pet that I thought was perfect? I just know the odds will be against me, and I will get a terror too.

I know... I am going to wait a while before I think about getting another pet. But for a couple of minutes I thought about taking some DNA and having him cloned!  Then I realized how weird that sounded... I wouldnt want someone cloning me.

Sure you can clone your pet... but the thing is, will it have the same personality? That is the BIG thing.

hey... i know it sucks, because my cat just died about a month ago.  she was at least 16 years old when she died, but we're not sure because she was a stray.  animals are great, but they're hard to replace.  i might get another cat, and you might get another dog, but we'll never replace the ones that came before.  you know what they say, though.  all dogs (and cats) go to heaven.

Twin, i also have had to make the decision to have a longtime companion put to sleep. That was one very lost weekend You made the right decision
