Finally got the engine back in my Challenger again last week. Had to pull it ( with only 1500 miles on a balance and blueprint rebuild ) due the the d*mn FRAM oil filter basically disintegrating and putting all kinds of crap into the engine. Luckily no harm done to the engine or crank, though I did end up having to replace 1 of the pistons ( the skirt was burned on it, possibly due to detonation ), and we did put on all new crank bearings. Runs like a dream! Now I gotta make up for lost driving time ( problem showed up on July 4, adn that's a long time to go without ). Actually feels like the engine runs even stronger than before - I suppose you gotta get lucky once in awhile, huh?
