:clapping: That is a very strong looking bell housing. :grinyes:  Was it hard and time consuming to get it to fit?

Maybe a total of 2 hours after I figured out which sawzall blade worked the best. The final touches I did with a flap wheel on an angle grinder. I still need to check concentricity and everything, but it locates very well. The bellhousing is SFI approved as well. The flange at the trans and engine is around 9/16 - 5/8" thick and the rest is around 1/2".

What centers it on the front of the case?

The bore for the front pump in the case, there is a taper machined into the bellhousing to front pump flange OD that centers it in the hole. I'll still measure to be sure though.

Just some update pics, got the dummy engine and the trans case in the car for mock up....some detail photos....
I wasn't expecting to have to cut the passenger side of the tunnel, but maybe that is due to the extra webbing on the low/reverse servo area on the 47RE, not sure.

Don't be afraid of bing the "pig" for Quick Time.  Ross is a stand-up guy and he worked very well and very efficiently with us to get the big block to TKO bell housing completed.  His products are excellent quality which comes from having excellent equipment and the strong understanding of metal spinnings.

well I'll just say CRAP!

looks like my trans case was damaged when the front band anchor let go, either the band end or the anchor looks like it took out the pump inlet/return opening in the casting. I didn't catch it until I went to start assembling the trans today. This sucks. Guess I'll be looking for another donor trans. Maybe I'll get lucky and find one cheap again. I don't think a lot of guys are looking for a V10 47RE trans.

I'll post pics in a little bit....

right above the 61/64th's mark on the scale is one crack, there is another near the opposite corner nearest the valve body opening. something got shoved into the casting to break it like that. Glad I didn't run it in the car. Would have been hard to hunt down.
