    Im going 2 see a car 2day , how rare is it?

    My dad told me of a car he knew way back in the 70's that has been in storage ever since 1979, the car is a factory plum crazy 71 challenger convertible with a 383 magnum w/ shaker backed by a 4-spd and a 4.10 dana 60 rear also it hasa go-wing and front spoilers, it was hot rodded way back then so i think it has big slot mags and fat tires with gas shocks jacked up in back,as well as aftermarket guages and tach and big pipes on the car. also im told the car still has a factory R/T stripe along the side, i thought there were no r/t 71 challenger verts? anyways does anyone know how rare this car is?, im going to see it 2day 2 take pics

    Very uncommon!
    383 4BBL was the biggest engine available in a 1971 Challenger rag, 4-speed is a huge bonus as is the shaker hood!
    Dana would have had to been added after the fact because a 8-3/4 would have been under there from the factory.
    The side stripes could be legit as they were  an option...they just leave of the R/T lettering for non R/T's.
    Make sure you grab the fender tag info while you are there!

    Oh i will take many pics, my uncle knew of this guy and was friends with them as they all had challys my uncle has a triple green 340 73 chally, his buddy hasa panther pink T/A and then the last dude has the 71 vert

    I believe this MIGHT be a rare car, but the 4:10's and Dana rear make me think this might have been tinkered with some. If the engine and tranny are still numbers matching, HOLY CRAPOLY!!  :o  :o  :o

    this might take some time to get pics my mopar buddys, i went there 2dy and some dudes work  there are total assholes and are like '' what challenger?'' , i was like i know theres a challenger in there i can see it , and i know the owner, long story short im gonna go back wiht my dad when as soon as he has free time , but pics will be on here as soon as i get them :cheers:
