Ask her, but be willing to give it up if it's not exactly her idea of a romantic evening.

they could always do it after the game to make it more romantic.  i cant imagine a better night then that!

Better do what she wants.  If Moms not happy nobodies happy.  I'd phrase it like this: "I got this once in a lifetime chance but my plans with you are more important so I said no".  Otherwise you might already be in trouble just for implying something may be more important. As you can tell from my reply my Wife seldom takes my balls out from the little box under the bed and lets me pretend they're mine.
I may be schizophrenic,
but at least I have each other

:scared:  :22yikes: I wouldn't even consider the game unless she wants to go,if and only then, whats worth more a few hours of football or a couple of weeks of the cold shoulder and possibly sleeptime.  :roflsmiley: i forgot mine this year and got the cold shoulder for a week, heck i didn't remember till a buddy of my asked me how my aniversity was three days after.  :pullinghair: that was NOT good.  :stirpot:  :2cents:

Great news Dave.  I had a feeling you would get to go to the game (without making your wife angry).  It is all in how you present the situation!
