Photos of my 1972 'Cuda
« on: September 26, 2006 - 07:38:59 PM »
I've had it since 1979 ... started to backhalf it in 1985 ... took a couple of years to do the body work and get it back on the road.  Went to the Nats a couple of times ... got a ticket on Brice Road from a rent-a-cop ... "squeeling and peeling" when all I did was rev it up a few times.  Cracked the #2 hole in 2002 ... 0.060 overbore must have left the cylinder walls to thin.  Built a 500" using a 400 block I had laying around.  Working on a serpentine belt conversion right now (Delco 12si alt, Sanden SD7).  Hope to be back on the road burning rubber next spring!

Hey guys (Rev-It-Up, Street-Challenged73, 4Cruizn, Total BS, 71340RT and Super Blue 72), thanks for the warm welcome!!

4Cruizn - Pittsburgh is my home.  I haven't been to Carlisle in 5+ years.  I take the family to the beach the week that leads up to Carlisle.  We're coming home (exhausted) during the Carlisle weekend.

Super Blue 72 - You have the eye for detail.  That Barracuda fish head graphic that leads into the AAR stripe always makes people stop and comment.  My airbrush/pinstripe/lettering guy did an awesome job on the graphics.  We used most of an AAR stripe.  He left off the first two tape blocks and painted the fish head on.  And he left off the back 2' and did the "RUMBLEFISH" in gold leaf with black outline.  To top it off, he painted on the the "MADE IN THE USA" using the same outline as the AAR badge.  I was really happy with the way it turned out.

Here are some more dpics of what I have going ...

Sweet looking  pics!  Your car must be awesome in person to see!

I saw your signature, nothing wrong with a TSX in my book.  I used to be an Acura tech and they make good cars but they don't have the "passion" like an old E-body in my opinion!  :burnout:
