We have a couple of places where folks can put their location:  in their profile under location and in thier member map.  If you click on "Map" in the blue tool bar towards the top, you can see where everyone is geographically.  However, neither of these options are mandatory.

I wish the state was required ... even if nothing else was supplied...nice to know if there is someone close by you might get to know.

I like it especially when someone is looking for parts . . . I always wonder how close they are to me in case we can save on shipping!

Exactly.  I know I could take a drive w/in the state, some of GA, or NC even.

Or if someone is going to a swap meet, and can keep their eyes out for something..

I agree. Can't we at least make the state mandatory?

Not with the current software.  It would require us to add a mod which is always a risky thing to do.

Ok I added my location under the Avatar.... This should be the place I think to show location if it works for everyone.

Did something happen to the members map?

I had not looked at it in a while, and now see that I'm not on there any longer as well as others that had been near me.

As far as I know, all is well with the map.  It could be that some folks have removed themselves from the map from their profile.  :dunno:

I was somehow removed too.  But I am not that easy to get rid of,   :nono:   I simply put myself back on the map...    :cooldancing:
