VIN sticker on drivers door
« on: October 02, 2006 - 02:08:07 PM »
My car has been repainted like 3 times. Somewhere along the line someone pulled the clear part of the vin sticker off leaving generally illegible numbers and a bunch of VOID words at an angle. I have a fender tag, I have the dash VIN tag, I have no broadcast sheet and that sticker is junk. Is there anywhere to get the stickers redone? I am in the process of getting my car painted and I want that sticker back on if I can get it. Thanks for any info.

Tags Back East does not do the door stickers that I am aware of? Just fender tags.

Alright here is another question. I can barely make out most of the vin number but I cannot make out the build date at all. Is there a place on the car that has it besides the broadcast sheet? The car was painted in the jams and the interior was redone years ago and I have yet to find a build sheet anywhere so that is not an option unless one of you has the build sheet for JH23G1B313933  :jumping:

The SPD is a 3 digit code on the second line from the bottom directly to the left of the Vehicle order number.  May be 3 numeric or one alpha and two numeric. First digit is month, last two are day.

So that tag you circled would be a 1-06-70 build date? I just looked and mine has a 3 numeric code of 303. That would be 3-03-71?

December 9. The year would depend on the model year of your car. If it is a 1970 model for example, the SPD would be December 9, 1969.
