I cut my wheelhouses off at the lip, outer side of it, then gring the edge... although I removed way more of the quarters and much easier to get to!  Replacing full quarters?  Wish I took pics, just did a satellite in the past few weeks.  My challenger doesn't need it or I'd take in the process pics.

Hemi... "fun" is a relative term..  :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:
Sometimes I feel overwhelmed...and it stops being fun. Then I get on C-C.com and after a day or so it becomes "fun" again. :)

Projects like this tend to seperate the men from the boys... Not to mention the ' self-satisfaction ' you get from doing it yourself and showing the people that doubt your commitment... :poopoke:

Nothing like building a car and being able to take credit for the work, not just the $ that was spent on it

Thanks S Chally, appreciate the info

I'm elated if I was able to help you out in ANY way at all  but definitely do not go by me as the "proper" way to do anything. This is a learn as we go process for us  :clueless:  :hyper:
Best of luck with your project

I'll take that as a comment......it's the best I'll get I know  :lol2:
Thanks everyone, yes it has been "fun" so far  :swaying:
Well, we got the trunk floor out, drilled all the way through on a few spot welds  :swear: :misbehaving: but went a hell of a lot easier than anticipated  :woo: Had to evict the mice, and tear down their former residence (my rails)   :horse: :sadwavey:
Test fit the new trunk panel on the drivers side, looks pretty d@mn good through these eyes  :bigshades:
Gonna POR the inside of the frame rails, save for where the spot welds were, we'll be using a weldable primer. Does that sound about right?  :1zhelp: :dunno:
Will get in touch with you Dan, thanks again

Very nice work! Bite off a little at a time, Some days it feels like stuff takes forever and you get nouthing done. You just need to stay on it as much as you can. progress is your friend,it will keep you motivated to keep working on the car. If you get burnt out, take a break and come back at it another time.

BTW I would shoot those wheel houses, trunk pans, and drop offs in epoxy primer inside and out before you install them, that way they are covered and protected from rust, they flash rush pretty easily. Just be sure to clean the oil off them with some thinner . Sounds like you have a bunch of support, and the most important indoor storage. If you need anything feel free to ask!

Thanks all
Also appreciate the advice 74chall
Well, a bit more progress  :swaying:
We marine cleaned/metal ready preped, and used por 15 on the inside of the frame rails, tank straps, and rear crossmember. Man what a pain in the @ss  :faint: but well worth it  :woo:
We also removed the full rear quarter. I have to say honestly this was the first time I may have felt a little......uuuhhhh....what do ya call it.........FEAR  :22yikes: :1zhelp:
Can you say getting in over your head  :bricks1:  :roflsmiley:  I love it
The last thing we need to get off is the drivers side wheelwell, then the rebirth can begin  :jumping:
Any advice on anything at all would be greatly appreciated
