Hi all, thanks for the replies, and thanks for the interesting link there SB72
Well it's been a while
Needed a little time to get my head on straight
Anyhoo, we've made progress, (not as much as we could have, Yes I know
)
I'm VERY proud of our first real attempt at fabricating. We done good, if I do say so myself
Though I did mess up my first attempt
(see pic #3)
My bud finished welding the inner wheelwell housing. Rust gone/looks great
Got the little one to help out
Por 15'd most of what was visible before the panels go back on
Finally received the new one piece trunkfloor from Goodmark, (as well as a new full quarter, and trunk gutter).
Drilled all the new spotweld holes in new trunk floor, and weldable primered the trunk floor accordingly
Tacked in the trunk, after a decent amount of test fitting
Put everything in place for alignment,(and to boost my motivation
)
Next time we will fully weld in the trunk hopefully.
Thanks everyone, hope you enjoy the pics
