AM radio static

I am having trouble dialing AM stations. I end up with a great deal of static even with local stations. Is there a filter or something I can install to reduce or eliminate the static and if so how do I do it?

Condenser in the distributor
Condenser on the gauges
Good resistor plug wires & plugs
be sure antenna & radio are well  grounded
There are in-line filers available, check Radio Shack
& believe it or not a ground strap to your hood.
Any bad ground or misbehaving device can create RF noise esp. Alternator

3 radio condensors, alternator, coil and dash and also proper trimming of the radio.

The stations usally have talk.sports, weather and the current dinosour conditions to help you through the morning commute.
