Challenger jacks
« on: October 03, 2006 - 03:41:52 AM »
Hi,

can anybody tell me what is the difference between different years Challenger jacks? Can I use 73-model Plymouth Satellite jack for my Challenger-70? Looks pretty much the same but not so sure if I can put it to Challenger-70 jack slot in the trunk. Can Challenger-70 hook (#1102) put into this Satellite-73 jack?

Thanks in advance for the information!

Best Regards,

Soke

NO, by '73 a,b,c & e-bodys jacks had changed to the slot style jack where as the early 70's did not have this provision & would need the large hook attachement. You might look at jacks from pre 71 C-bodys for a doner but I don't know for sure what would/wouldn't work.

70 model Challenger jacks are hard to find... and especially the hooks. PG Classic now repops the hooks but they cost some dough :money:....

If you find two let me know!!  :roflsmiley: I will take one off your hands.

What is the difference between Cuda´70 (#1100 or 1101) and Challenger´70 (#1102) hooks? Can you use Cuda´70 hook in Challenger´70?

101 was the original 'Cuda hook, 100 is the later and superceeded number.  100 fits rubber bumpers way better than a 101.  102 Challenger hook is longer than a 100/101 hook.

Does anybody know what is the difference between Coronet´70 and Challenger´70 jack? I know the hook is different but will it fit also for Challenger and can I put the Coronet jack into Challenger´s trunk in correct place?
