AAR need help

Hey guys My friend needs some info on an AAR cuda thats being restored.What color should the rearend be also the center section and the leaf springs and the driveshaft.also what belongs where these four holes are(see pic)he did not take this car apart so we are trying to help in getting stuff back where it belongs.thanks The Clown

The holes are for an exhaust hanger.  The left side was bolted in and looks like the
one that should be welded in the same location on the right side.  There's a stud
plate that goes inside the car and was held in place by a small sheet metal screw
(hence the small hole) and then the hanger portion was affixed to the studs with nuts
from the outside.  I think Year One and others sell them.

Are there holes on both sides of the tunnel?  Looks almost like a sway bar attachment?  Since it's an AAR it would have side exiting exhaust.

Maybe someone else w/AAR will check in.

diff should be satin black , center section should be natural cast iron springs should be satin black & driveshaft too

The drive shaft on the 173 mile T/A had no sign of any paint on it. Some others do have black paint though, so it seams to be one of those things that was hit and miss.  :dunno:

Thanks guys I passed on all the info to Chris,I will be probably be asking for more help in the future.It's hard when someone else takes things apart and really has no Idea of the car or parts.But we will prevail and get this car back together.-----The Clown

I still have photo discs of the 173 mile T/A available, a lot of the details are the same on the AARs. You can mention it to him and contact me if he is interested in one.  :thumbsup:
