Anyone have a tattoo?
« on: October 15, 2006 - 12:56:30 AM »
My wife thinks I should get a tattoo.   :drunk:  I've thought about it before, but wasn't able to come up with any good ideas.  If I get a tattoo it has to be one that means something to me.  Does anyone else have a tattoo and how did you deside on it?

Thanks!  :2thumbs:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Cody, I still am not inked, but I'd like to be getting one within the next year.  I've seen some pretty cool tribal designs, but I'm pushing more towards something MoPar-related.  One of my friends just got the MoPar "M" on his bicep and it looks pretty cool, but I'm thinking the Challenger script, symbol, or something along those lines.  I'd suggest if you did get one, make it not so noticeable.  Upper arm/shoulder tatts are pretty cool, but it just gives a weird vibe when someone walks in with green arms. :eek4:

Here's what that M looks like:

Cody,

This is an old thread, but there are still a couple of pictures saved on it.

I will be getting one soon, I think i will get the duster tornado with eyes first on my right shoulder, and then a rectangular charger emblem on the left. altho im trading my charger for a duster, i will always love the charger. ive thought about having that one stretched into an armband..id have to see what the art looked like. I dont like the idea of having the script , just cause i dont want just everyone to understand the meaning.

I've got a little fraternity tattoo on my ankle from my crazy college days.

If I ever finish a full Ironman (knee issues holding me back on the marathon), I'm going to get a big "IM" tattooed somewhere prominent - maybe my forehead!

Cody, knowing how goodlooking your wife is and how close you two are you should consider a portrait of her!

I have a Mopar "M" on each of my cheeks and when I bend over it reads MOM . Also, if I stand on my head it says WOW - Very versatile tattoo.

Personally i would never have one. Im not against them, have seen some cools ones though. If u do it, make sure that its something timeless, as it must still mean something to you when you old and grey.  :grinyes:

Thank you for the kind words.  That thought has crossed my mind.

Right now I'm thinking of getting my whole back done.  One tattoo that can be hidden with a shirt.  I might be crazy.  :clueless:

Never tattoo a wife, husband, girl/boy friend or significant others name or likeness on your body, it is the kiss of death.  The relationship will not out last the tattoo.  This has been proven time after time.  My friend Miles has been in the tattoo business for thirty plus year and refuses to put somebody significant other name or likeness on their body.

Your tattoo should mean something to you Cody.  Take your time and do your research, go to local tattoo parlors and look at the tattoo artist photo albums. Find something in a magazine or book that you like.  Then take it to a local artist and have them do a drawing of it.

If you take your time and plan it out you will be much happier with your tattoo.  Remember it is more painful to get a tattoo removed, than it is to get one so make sure you can live a life time with.

I've joked with my wife that I am going to get a tatoo when I turned fifty. I still got an emblem off a hat from when I was 11 or 12, and just getting into cars, of woddy woodpecker with a cigar in his mouth that I always thought was pretty cool. After having a heart attack at 49 I think I will get it a little earlier. Might not make fifty now.!!!!
