Priming the oiling system HELP PLEASE!!
« on: October 15, 2006 - 11:53:08 AM »
Im trying to get the motor primed on my rebuild.  I started at tdc and rotated 90* at a time for two revolutions, stopping at each interval and running the oil primer.   I can get oil out of the drivers side rockers at 90* after tdc but i cant seem to get oil from the passenger side.  Does anyone remember at what degree the pass head gets oil??   And or does anyone know how the heads get oil???

Hoping to fire within an hour or 2 so any help would be appreciated.   :1zhelp: :1zhelp:

the oil is fed through the cam up a small passage to feed the rocker shafts , I am not sure wht degree would line up the cam & it is probably random as is is not critical at what degree it would line up so dependign who manufactures the cam blank it will likely vary , I owuld just fire it up as long as you have some assy lube or oil on the rockers now
