Strangest offers that have been made to you
« on: October 16, 2006 - 08:04:25 AM »
The other day I had a guy offer me his wife for my car and I think that in some fashion he was serious. Now she was similiar to a ricer, where it may be a fun ride, but you definately wouldn't want your friends to see you or know that you drove it. Needless to say I declined.

I was a cop for 22 years, I can't post the strangest offers I've ever had. At least not on this board!  :grinno:

I had someone offer me $5,000 for my car. I kinda chuckled and said, for what? the fenders? (which i know 72's are worth that much but i was being sarcastic). He replied, in a serious tone, 'Thats more than it cost new!'. I said if they were going for what they cost new, I'd have more than I can count.  :scared:

When ever someone asks me, "how much?", I just say, "You don't have enough."

"If you have to ask, you can't afford it."

I like that line. Someday I may get to use it.

That is a good one, I may have to borrow it from you one day.

Also when you use the size option to make your words bigger, you have to change the size number from a 10 to a 12, 14, 16 or bigger

Hope this helps.

At the Hayes Show last month, I had a really nice older gentleman ask if the chally was for sale. I said, it sure is...for 5 million dollars.  Oldschool was sitting next to me and said...and we'll through in the Beast for free!  :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:  The older fella had a good laugh and went on his way.

When i was working part time at a Body Shop about 10 years ago and it was still being driven on occasion i had a hay seed offer 250 cash for that YELLOW PLYMOUTH. He said he was looking for a WINTER BEATER he wanted to park his Caprice. I was laughing histericaly as the Boss ask him if he was born this STUPID or worked hard at it . I told him if he was nice to me i might sell him the spare tire for that
