    I am glad you used a lot of the original factory metal.  The reproduction panels many times do not have the exact correct lines that the factory panels do. It is harder and more extensive in labor to use factory donor pieces.  It does pay off in the way the car looks.  It is too bad that you have to sell it after all you have done.  Again, I am glad you saved it.  This is a pretty decent group here.  I don't think you will have tomato throwing.

    He's a brave soul bringing it back from the dead. Hats off to him for doing it.

    He knows as anyone who buys it, that it won't ever be a thoroughbred class value'd Hemi car. Those are the original triple digit cars that never get driven. At least this one could be driven and still carry some authenticity.

    I'm friends with the guy who owns the shop that did the body/paint work and have seen this guy's previous cars. Believe me, it'll be perfect.  :thumbsup:

    WOW. That's an amazing story.  I may actually know where the Hemi is. I was talking to a guy down here a few weeks ago that has a Hemi Satellite. He got the engine and trans out of a GTX back in the day.

    That guy is Ed Wilson From Lynchburg Va. Has made quite the living buying wrecks and selling to unsuspecting folks with too much money..

    IIRC, the leaf springs were up inside the trunk when I was "Haggling" the price with him..Oh well, one born every minute, as I guess he sold it...

    Ed has always been a wheeler dealer.  I bought several cars from him when I lived in Lynchburg.  I never had a complaint.  I knew what to look for and what questions to ask also.  If you don't ask he won't tell you.

    Unfortunately I was not involved in the metal work, it came to me as a roller. I disassembled what was done and had it painted. It came with a truck load of the original parts which I was strictly enforced to use. Also I can attest to the fact that there was more welding done on this car then I've ever seen before. Not all panels were attached at the factory seems, this car has had an impressive amount of metal work done to it :2cents:

    ...and yes it did  sell and the new owner was aware of the history and was happy to pay fairly large $$$ for the car proving there is an asss for every seat.
