Ok,more good news-bad news from Sunday at the track.I got a my Autogage temp gage installed and working good and the battery was fully charged which cured my overheating and hard starting problems from last week.Got there bright and early but COLD! as the 69 has no heater in it!At least I blocked off the wide open fresh air vents with cardbaord and duct tape so it wasn`t quite so breazy which helped at 7:00 am and about 35-40 degrees.Got my first run in at around 9:30 with the temp still nice and cool and was on a decent pass but when I banged the shifter into Drive it atsrted slipping as it was in between gears.I have been working on the adjustment of the cable but having a hrad time getting it right, still ran a 15.7 at only 79mph and the old 360 even managed a little tire spin on the nice cold track.Back in the pits we jacked it up and made another minor adjusment to the cable and then we waited for our second time trial and waited.............and waited..............and waited..............Noon time came around and they took thier usual lunch break but since my wife was patiently waiting for me at home I had to split so no second run.The car ran fine-no overheating or battery issues so I have this Friday night and maybe Saturday left to try for my 14 second pass.Of course my crappy digital burnt thru my batteries and somehow I lost a bunch of pics and no action shots as my photograpgher was running the same time I was but here`s what I got.

Nice flathead slingshot

Torred,

It sounds like you are on the right track with your car.  A special thanks for the Halloween costume bit.  :clapping: Hopefully that gets me off the hook.

Looking sharp! (Don't worry, I mean the car, not the fro ::))

Sounds like you are on the right track with the car, and just need to get it settled in.

It might take a small amount of heat off you Mike but that Pimp outfit has mine beat by a long shot and we won`t even get into the shoe thing!
