Started putting the front suspension and steering on today. It's getting back heavy so I'll have to build an extension for it to stabilize better.

I still need 1 lower ball joint seal for the other side. I bought some a while ago from Jim's Auto Parts but they won't sit on right.

The machine shop is just now getting started on assembling my Hemi. It's been notched already for the stroker crank and primered. An 8 month leadtime because there is only 2 machinists there. But they do really nice work. I'll get some pics of a  blown Hemi they just completed when they Dyno it hopefully.

I ordered a pint of Hemi orange from Roger Gibson Restorations yesterday. It's supposed to be a dead on match on the orange they originally had. Hemi's had a different orange hue in 69-71 than 383's, 440's and 340's according to Frank Badalson.
No rattle cans on this one.

Next I'll need to get reducer and the rest of the paint supplies. Anyone use his paint before I would like to see pics and any info on what you did. Send me a PM if you would.

Over the past week I've been sand blasting the engine compartment.
First I built a catch system to re claim the media. Or at least most of it.

I'm using Aluminum Oxide with a Harbor Freight Pressure pot. I go thru ceramic tips pretty fast. Set at 100 PSI. The compressor is screaming full speed while blasting. Thus I have to take breaks once in a while to let it catch up.

Overall it's coming out good just not as fast as if I sent the whole chassis out. Weather is cooling now to make it worthwhile staying out.
Afterwards, I DP'd the compartment.

Remember that firewall that I chopped out the A/C section on? Then replaced it with a non A/C?

Here's a before and after shot.
It's been alot of work to get this looking right.

(This was done before AMD came out with firewall reproductions)

I just have a few high spots to knock back and re skim one more time and then I can start getting ready to go for the under carriage.

Time to saddle up again and get going again.

I blew my compressor belt last week and had to special order one. It's a 6 groover. Got it fixed so should be moving on it again.

Today is the eve of Halloween. I got my engine short block back today.
Take a look at the first pic. This engine has got spirit in it already.

Estimated HP will be around 585. Solid lifter cam.

The weather has been perfect for working hard outside for me now. Today I media blasted both inside front fenders and epoxy primered them. So now the whole front end (under hood & fenders) is in epoxy primer.

Since this part is behind me now, I can flip her on the side and do the rest underneath.
