Thanks. Getting this bodyline tru'd was way tougher than I ever anticipated.
The drivers side should go much easier since it was close already.

I've seen alot of Cuda's at shows etc. in my past.
Many have a wave or a bad spot in the bodyline. I can't have that.

Body work is looking good Mike!  :2thumbs:

It takes a long time to get bodywork right. The flat sections are so hard to get true, and these aren't small cars!

Keep up the good work, looks like you're getting there! Can't wait to see it with some paint.

Thats really coming along. It's a great sense of relief getting the final block sanding done and then the anticipation of seeing it in paint.  I have been following your work ( of cource a 71 cuda)  but I don't remember what color you are going to paint it?      Doug

Today I did a few more skin coats. This is my prime time of the year to do bodywork since the sun is lower and not so intense I can see the body so much better.

I'm only able to put in 10-12 hours a week average on my car. So it may seem like I'm taking a long time. Its the best I can do under the circumstances.

After the skin coats sanded, I sprayed another primer coat on and then gave it the first shot of SEM guide coat then sanded with 180 grit to see my first low spots. Not too bad. Very few left. I could probably pull it off with Feather Fill but I'll give it one more skin coat just to be on the safe side.

Color choice is down to 2. Either B2 Glacier Blue or Hemi Orange. I decided against Gunmetal because I think it needs a Vynil top and billboards to break it up to look best.

O.K. you guys win.

B2 it is.

But the Giants won the W.S. and my High School Alma mater colors were Orange and black. See now why I wanted to go Orange? Would be cool cruising town on a Friday nite H.S. football night in those colors.

Did another skin and block today since last time when I threw on a guide coat. Then threw another primer coat on. My eyes got real big this time. Looked great. But I lost the body line right under the louvered fender. That area has been so hard to get true'd. Rain this week-end so delay of game till it gets  :bigshades: again.

If you even thought of orange, you're going to always wish that you went with it. Go with it and screw what other people think. It is your car and you want to drive it in your old High School's Homecoming parade.  I'll have 2 orange ones next year.
